Raytheon is hiring Systems Engineering Co-ops as part of the Raytheon Cooperative Education Program. This is a part-time, onsite role targeting senior or postgraduate students with an expected graduation date of May 2027 or August 2027 in Computer Science or a related STEM field. The position is planned to begin in Summer 2026 in Richardson, TX.
In this role, you will utilize and grow your knowledge regarding the clarification of requirements, system engineering analyses, algorithm development, requirements definition and derivation, interface definition, and requirement validation and verification. You will work on tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world, collaborating with some of the greatest minds in the aerospace and defense industry.
A Raytheon Co-op Program Information Seminar will be scheduled in conjunction with candidate interview sessions. Due to the security clearance requirement, this is an onsite position. Candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid, or remote.

Specific majors in Systems Engineering or related scientific or STEM discipline. 3.00 cumulative GPA or higher. Proficient use of both Windows and UNIX platforms. Experience with Perl, Python, VBA, and/or other scripting languages. Exposure to Agile Development Principles. Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite. Previous internship experience. Ability to analyze issues and define solutions. Knowledge of systems engineering lifecycle, roles and functions. Proven strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
