About the Role
We have an immediate opportunity for a Systems Engineer at our Littleton, CO facility to join our System Safety Engineering Team. In this role, you will serve as the FBM Program System Safety Engineer, focusing on performing and leading safety analysis across the FBM program. You will be part of a team dedicated to developing national defense systems, applying your expertise to ensure safety and reliability in complex engineering environments.

- check_circlePrepare Safety Assessment Reports in accordance with MIL-STD-882 standards
- check_circleParticipate in Design Reviews, Test Readiness Reviews, and Technical Interchange Meetings
- check_circleDevelop system safety documents to support customer and contractual requirements
- check_circleReview requirements, design, and test procedures for adherence to system safety standards
- check_circleDevelop and update Preliminary Hazard List, Preliminary Hazard Analysis, and Functional Hazard Analyses
Requirements
- verifiedBS in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent with 1 year experience or Masters degree
- verifiedUS Citizenship
- verifiedAbility to obtain Top Secret Clearance
- verifiedKnowledge of system safety design and operations safety principles
- verifiedExperience with hazard identification, analysis, risk mitigation, safety requirements management
- verifiedEffective communication skills
- verifiedExperience with MIL-STD-882E preferred
- verifiedExperience developing Safety Assessment Reports (SAR) preferred
- verifiedKnowledge of electrical engineering or ordnance principles preferred
Nice to Have
Experience using MIL-STD-882E or other relevant industry and/or safety standards. Experience developing Safety Assessment Report (SAR) and/or other system safety assessment documentation. Knowledge of electrical engineering or ordnance principles.
