About the Role
We are currently hiring for multiple Registered Nurse (RN) PRN positions across various shifts at our Houston Methodist Campus. As a licensed staff nurse, you will function at the Competent to Proficient stage of Benner's model of clinical practice, providing professional nursing care to a diverse patient population with varied and complex needs.
In this role, you will conduct nursing assessments, assist with exams and treatment, deliver patient education, and maintain medical records. You will collaborate with physicians and the interprofessional healthcare team to facilitate compassionate, efficient, and high-quality care. Your responsibilities include acting as a patient and family advocate, monitoring patient rights, and utilizing clinical judgment to manage emergencies and administer medications.
This position offers opportunities for leadership and growth. You may assume progressive responsibilities such as serving as a charge nurse, precepting students or new employees, and participating in or leading unit and shared governance initiatives. Depending on your education, experience, and skill level, you may also contribute to service line or hospital-wide initiatives in partnership with management.
