This role is part of the Solid Waste Services department within the Municipality of Anchorage. The team serves as the first point of contact for customers at disposal sites and in customer service administration, ensuring the efficient handling of municipal waste operations and adherence to local ordinances.
As an Account Representative II, you will function as a proficient and cross-trained interface with the public at various locations, including the Anchorage Regional Landfill, Central Transfer Station, and Girdwood Transfer Station. You will be fully trained to work in both the scale house and cash booth, managing disposal loads, screening for hazardous materials, and processing fees according to current municipal codes.
This is a regular part-time position requiring a minimum of 30 hours per week, with a schedule that varies from Monday to Saturday. While the role is primarily on-site, remote work opportunities (telecommuting) may be considered after successful completion of probation, subject to management discretion and departmental approval.
