As a Sushi Chef in our Asian Department, you will be the creative force behind fresh, high-quality sushi offerings. This role exists to deliver a premium culinary experience that aligns with our commitment to customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for preparing and filling customer orders, handling food in a safe manner, and ensuring the highest standards of freshness and presentation.
Your day will involve a blend of culinary artistry and operational excellence. You will prepare fresh sushi for customers, both packaged and made-to-order, while managing inventory by ordering, receiving, and labeling products. Beyond the kitchen, you are the face of our sushi department, greeting customers with a smile, learning their names, and providing prompt, friendly service whether they are in your department or elsewhere in the store. You will also engage with the community through fresh sushi demonstrations and stay current on meal trends to keep our menu exciting.
