New Mexico Donor Services is seeking a Surgical Recovery Coordinator to join our dynamic team in saving and enhancing lives. In this role, you will play a critical part in the surgical removal, preservation, packaging, and distribution of organs. You will work directly with transplant surgeons and organ recovery coordinators to coordinate and assist in the recovery process, ensuring all activities adhere to strict policies and standards.
A significant portion of your day will involve assuming primary responsibility for the renal preservation process, including pumping and pump transport. You will also coordinate organ allocation, including kidney and liver placement, distribution, and transportation for transplantation and research. This position requires extensive on-call availability to assist with donor recovery activities and coordinate fly-outs and fly-backs.
