About the Role
This position serves as a vital support to physicians and nursing staff within the Operating Room and Clinic, assisting with procedures and patient care. As a Surgical Technician, you will be the first or second scrub person during surgeries, maintaining a sterile field and ensuring the efficient handling of surgical instruments. Your role extends beyond the OR; you will prepare the room for procedures, verify implants, and manage the decontamination and sterilization of equipment using advanced technology like steam and hydrogen peroxide sterilizers.
This is an excellent opportunity for new graduates, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm (80 hours per two weeks). The role involves collaborating closely with the team to ensure a productive environment while adhering to strict safety principles and infection control guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circlePrepare the Operating Room for surgical procedures by organizing equipment and instruments
- check_circleAssist the surgeon as the first or second scrub person during surgical procedures
- check_circleAccount for all instruments, needles, and sponges with the circulating nurse
- check_circleOperate sterilization equipment including steam and hydrogen peroxide sterilizers
- check_circleAssist with on-the-job training and orientation of new staff and students
- check_circleTransport patients to the Operating Room when necessary

Requirements
