As a Surgical Services Technician, you will be a vital member of the clinical team, assisting the Lead Technician in managing day-to-day clinic operations and supporting Polysomnographic technicians. This role is designed to ensure the seamless flow of surgical services, from the preparation of the operating room to the post-operative recovery of patients.
Your day will involve a dynamic mix of clinical and logistical responsibilities. You will provide direct surgical patient care, assist anesthesia personnel with positioning, and perform scrub duties in the Operating Room. This includes preparing sterile instruments, counting supplies with the circulating nurse, and anticipating the surgeon's needs during procedures. Beyond the OR, you will transport patients and records, manage medical material, and perform specialized housekeeping and decontamination tasks to maintain a safe environment.
The position requires adaptability, as you may work across various locations within the Colorado Military Health System (CMHS), including Military Treatment Facilities and sub-clinics. You will operate in a fast-paced, highly social environment where quick thinking and attention to detail are essential for patient safety and team efficiency.
