This position serves as a vital support operator within the manufacturing workflow, ensuring the efficient operation of critical equipment such as saws, polishers, grinders, and manual milling machines. The role is essential for maintaining production flow, requiring the incumbent to polish and rework parts, manage chip cart removal, and ensure workstations remain stocked via kanban systems. Success in this role involves performing material handling duties, executing fixture setups, and conducting tool changes with precision.
The day-to-day responsibilities include adhering to standard work instructions, maintaining accurate records, and participating in preventative maintenance activities like water spider tasks. Team members must be capable of safely performing rigging tasks and lifts using cranes, while also communicating effectively to support the broader production line. The role demands flexibility to work across various shifts (A, B, C, or D) and the physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs while wearing required personal protective equipment.
