At Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services, we promote a challenging, yet rewarding opportunity within a caring environment. Our mission is to provide compassionate care to our residents, fostering a supportive atmosphere where both patients and staff can thrive.
We are currently seeking an experienced Support Nurse (LPN) for our Highland House location. In this role, you will be a vital member of the nursing team, working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to ensure the highest quality of patient care. You will assist nursing personnel, including the charge nurse and Director of Nursing, during your assigned shifts, with the flexibility to take call for staffing coverage when needed.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve providing resident care in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act, delegating duties to non-licensed personnel, and monitoring their performance. You will play a key role in quality assurance by collecting data for analysis and assisting with infection control protocols. Additionally, you will support the healthcare team by managing new admissions, conducting resident assessments, and coordinating with rehab aides. The role requires you to handle emergencies, including performing CPR, and to communicate effectively with attending physicians regarding patient changes or critical events.
