Restart is the single largest employment programme ever contracted out by the UK Government, representing the most critically monitored and evaluated employment initiative in the country's history. As the Supply Chain Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of this high-stakes contract, reporting directly to the Supply Chain Director.
You will be directly accountable for leading a network of supply chain partners responsible for delivering approximately 50% of the overall contract value (£20-25m per annum). Beyond revenue generation, your success will be measured by adherence to Customer Service Standards, exceeding customer satisfaction metrics, and delivering on social value commitments. You will manage the performance of a vast ecosystem involving 300-400 FTEs employed by these partners, ensuring their teams and individuals deliver the contracted service effectively.
In this role, you will drive continuous improvement throughout the supply chain to ensure year-on-year performance gains. A key aspect of your day-to-day will involve fostering a collaborative "Restart Alliance" by working closely with the Restart Service Delivery Director to ensure Maximus and SCP delivery are complementary. You will support under-performing partners through coaching and, when necessary, execute contingency plans to replace them, all while maintaining the financial surety of the network.
