Restart is the single largest employment programme ever contracted out by the UK Government. As the most critically monitored and evaluated employment initiative in the country, it represents a significant opportunity to drive national workforce development. The programme relies on a robust 'Restart Alliance' to ensure complementary delivery between Maximus and SCP, creating a unified front in meeting contract requirements.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, the Supply Chain Manager plays a pivotal role in the delivery of this high-stakes contract. You will be directly accountable for leading a network of supply chain partners responsible for delivering approximately 50% of the overall contract value (£20-25m per annum). Success in this role is critical to the programme meeting its rigorous standards.
Your day-to-day focus will extend beyond revenue generation to ensuring strict adherence to Customer Service Standards, exceeding customer satisfaction measures, and delivering on social value commitments. Supported by internal resources, you will manage the performance of all supply chain partners, their teams, and the 300-400 FTEs employed to deliver the contracted service. Working closely with the Restart Service Delivery Director, you will drive continuous improvement, foster collaboration across the CPA and with external providers, and ensure a positive, engaging culture that prioritizes workforce training, development, and wellbeing.
