Restart is the single largest employment programme ever contracted out by the UK Government, making it the most critically monitored and evaluated employment initiative in the country's history. Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, the Supply Chain Manager plays a pivotal role in the delivery of this contract. The success of the programme hinges on the performance of our supply chain partners, who are responsible for delivering approximately 50% of the overall contract value (circa £20-25m per annum).
This role involves direct accountability for leading a network of partners, managing their outputs, and ensuring adherence to Customer Service Standards. Beyond revenue generation, the position is critical for exceeding customer satisfaction measures and delivering on social value commitments. Supported by internal resources and guided by the Supply Chain Director, the manager will oversee the performance of all supply chain partners, their teams, and the 300-400 FTEs employed to deliver the contracted service.
The post holder will work closely with the Restart Service Delivery Director to ensure Maximus and SCP delivery are complementary, fostering a 'Restart Alliance' that drives continuous improvement and effective collaboration both within the CPA and with external providers.
Maximus is committed to developing, maintaining, and supporting a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the recruitment process. We understand that feeling included has a dramatic impact on personal wellbeing and are working to ensure that no job applicant receives less favourable treatment due to any personal characteristic. Advertisements for posts include sufficiently clear and accurate information to enable potential applicants to assess their own suitability.
We are a Disability Confident Leader, thanks to our commitment to the recruitment, retention, and career development of people with disabilities and long-term conditions. The Disability Confident scheme includes a guaranteed interview for any applicant with a disability who meets the minimum requirements for a job. When completing a job application, candidates can indicate if they wish to apply under the Disability Confident Guaranteed Interview Scheme. If an applicant meets the essential criteria, they will be invited for an interview. These applications are shared only with the hiring manager and the local resourcing team. Where reasonable, Maximus will review and consider adjustments for applicants who express a requirement for them during the recruitment process.
