Restart is the single largest employment programme ever contracted out by the UK Government, representing the most critically monitored and evaluated employment initiative in the country's history. The Supply Chain Manager plays a pivotal role in the delivery of this contract, managing the outputs and performance of supply chain partners whose success is critical to meeting contract requirements.
Directly accountable for leading a network of partners responsible for delivering approximately 50% of the overall contract value (circa £20-25m per annum), this role goes beyond revenue generation. The post holder must ensure strict adherence to Customer Service Standards, exceed customer satisfaction measures, and deliver on social value commitments. Supported by internal resources and guided by the Supply Chain Director, the manager will oversee the direct performance of all supply chain partners, their teams, and the 300-400 FTEs employed to deliver the service.
The role involves driving continuous improvement throughout the supply chain to ensure year-on-year performance gains and effective collaboration both within the CPA and with external providers. A key aspect of the position is working closely with the Restart Service Delivery Director to ensure Maximus and SCP delivery are complementary, fulfilling the commitment to create a 'Restart Alliance'.

Where reasonable, Maximus will review and consider adjustments for applicants who express a requirement for them during the recruitment process.
