Restart is the single largest employment programme ever contracted out by the UK Government, representing the most critically monitored and evaluated employment initiative in the country's history. The Supply Chain Manager plays a pivotal role in the delivery of this high-stakes contract, managing the outputs and performance of supply chain partners whose success is critical to meeting contractual requirements.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, you will be directly accountable for leading a network of partners responsible for delivering approximately 50% of the overall contract value (£20-25m per annum). Beyond revenue generation, the role ensures adherence to Customer Service Standards, exceeds customer satisfaction measures, and delivers on social value commitments. Supported by internal resources, you will manage the performance of all supply chain partners, their teams, and the 300-400 FTEs employed to deliver the service.
A key aspect of this position involves driving continuous improvement throughout the supply chain to ensure year-on-year performance gains. You will work closely with the Restart Service Delivery Director to ensure Maximus and SCP delivery are complementary, fostering a 'Restart Alliance' that encourages collaboration both within the CPA and with external providers.
Maximus is committed to developing, maintaining, and supporting a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the recruitment process. We understand that feeling included has a dramatic impact on personal wellbeing and are working to ensure that no job applicant receives less favourable treatment due to any personal characteristic.
We are a Disability Confident Leader, thanks to our commitment to the recruitment, retention, and career development of people with disabilities and long-term conditions. The Disability Confident scheme includes a guaranteed interview for any applicant with a disability who meets the minimum requirements for a job. When completing your application, you will find a question asking if you would like to apply under the Disability Confident Guaranteed Interview Scheme. If you meet the essential criteria, you will be invited for an interview. Your application will only be shared with the hiring manager and the local resourcing team. Where reasonable, Maximus will review and consider adjustments for applicants who express a requirement for them during the recruitment process.
