JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract (J-Tech II). Our mission is to develop and maintain realistic, integrated test and training environments, preparing the nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.
As a Supervisory Instrumentation Engineer III, you will serve as a technical authority and leader within a dynamic engineering section. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability and precision of airborne test instrumentation and data acquisition systems. You will be responsible for the modification, installation, testing, evaluation, repair, and documentation of complex avionics and instrumentation across multiple shifts.
Beyond technical execution, you will lead a team of engineers and technicians. Your day-to-day involves managing project scopes, resolving complex technical problems through tolerance studies and design calculations, and interfacing with internal and external customers. You will act as a liaison for test activities, contribute to technical proposals, and foster a safety culture compliant with both JT4 and Air Force requirements. This position offers the opportunity to work in diverse environments, ranging from office settings to remote field locations, often requiring shift work and exposure to varying weather conditions.
This position supports a Federal Government Contract, which requires U.S. citizenship. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government security clearance and a valid state-issued driver's license. The selection process will evaluate your technical mastery, leadership capabilities, and ability to work under strict deadlines. Successful candidates will be expected to adapt to the rigorous demands of a defense environment, including routine travel to remote company work locations.
