About the Role
As a Supervisor of Production Operations in Springfield, MO, you will lead a team within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role is critical for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient execution of production processes. You will serve as the Incident Commander during emergency situations, managing hazardous waste protocols, and leading root cause investigations for any out-of-specification batches or safety incidents.
Your day will involve a blend of hands-on leadership and strategic oversight. You will conduct performance evaluations, provide training on Good Documentation Practices and Process Safety Management, and troubleshoot equipment issues in real-time. By maintaining constant communication with the Production Manager and other departments, you will ensure that operational issues are resolved efficiently and that the team remains aligned with plant status and production goals. Success in this role requires a balance of technical proficiency with SAP and Factory Talk systems and the ability to prioritize simultaneous events in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities

- check_circleReview production batch sheets daily for accuracy and re-train operators as needed
- check_circleCommunicate with other departments to resolve operational issues and provide daily production reports
- check_circleIssue hot work permits and vessel entry permits as required
- check_circleInitiate, review, and complete Change Control documentation to maintain cGMP and OSHA compliance
- check_circleTroubleshoot and resolve process and equipment problems while coordinating with maintenance
- check_circleEnsure compliance with safety rules, procedures, batch records, and work instructions
Requirements

- verified5 years of relative experience in a Production facility

Nice to Have
FDA, EPA, and OSHA regulated chemicals manufacturing experience. Ability to work a 12-hour shift and cover shifts when needed due to shift vacancies. Good written and verbal communication skills and team-oriented management skills. Ability to properly prioritize simultaneous events by planning ahead and maximizing efficiency of resources. Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with SAP, Factory Talk/Process Control Systems, AIMS, and other software to assist in day-to-day activities.
