SNF is a global specialty chemical group pioneering "soft chemistry" to treat, recycle, and preserve water while saving energy and reducing carbon footprints. With 9,000 employees worldwide, including over 2,700 in the USA, the company drives growth through innovation and a commitment to a cleaner, less carbon-intensive world.
The Production Technician serves as a vital member of a nine-person team at SNF's Polychemie site in Pearlington, Mississippi, reporting to the Production Area Manager. This role is dedicated to transforming raw materials into marketable, in-spec products by operating plant equipment and controlling chemical processes safely and efficiently.
You will be the operational heartbeat of the facility, responsible for monitoring and adjusting production processes to ensure quality and productivity. Your day will involve making precise operating adjustments via instrumentation and chemical additions, operating pumps and valves to manage fluid levels, flows, temperatures, and pressures, and conducting routine equipment inspections. Beyond technical operations, you will troubleshoot equipment issues, collect and analyze samples for laboratory testing, and maintain thorough documentation and communication with shift supervisors and production crews.
Success in this role requires a hard-working, organized individual with a positive attitude who thrives both independently and within a team. You will work in a self-directed environment that demands creativity, adaptability, and strong decision-making skills. The position involves handling hazardous chemicals during off-loading, performing minor mechanical maintenance, and operating forklifts and power tools. As a key part of the team, you will contribute to a culture focused on customer quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Candidates must be willing to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, and be prepared to work overtime as required. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, along with relevant chemical manufacturing knowledge or experience. Familiarity with safety practices in chemical, power, or industrial manufacturing is highly valued. Selected candidates will complete a mandatory training program to maintain employment.
SNF is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse workforce. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, fostering an inclusive environment where all team members can contribute to our mission of a sustainable future.
