The Assistant Superintendent in New Plymouth, ID, serves as a vital leader in the daily operations of our dry bean seed and commercial facilities. This role exists to ensure the seamless integration of safety, quality, and production procedures while fostering a collaborative environment among production, maintenance, and quality teams. You will act as the first line of involvement for critical safety protocols, including lock out/tag out procedures and confined space entries, while overseeing the physical and digital inventories of the facility.
In this position, you will lead all production employees, providing routine feedback and supporting their development. Your day-to-day involves monitoring equipment, troubleshooting failures, and ensuring strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, and FSMA requirements. You will also play a key role in continuous improvement initiatives, assisting in the coordination of production schedules and customer requests alongside the Location Superintendent and regional management. Flexibility is essential, as the role requires adapting to changing work routines and working various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
