Park Lane New York seeks a Substitute Engineer to support our Facilities & Maintenance team within a luxury, high-rise hotel environment overlooking Central Park. This position is designed to provide essential on-call and scheduled coverage, ensuring the continuous, reliable operation of critical building systems. The role serves as a vital link in maintaining guest comfort and safety, requiring a professional who can swiftly troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety equipment while upholding Park Lane's culture of impeccable hospitality.
In this capacity, you will be the first line of defense for guest-impact issues, responding promptly to maintenance requests to minimize downtime and disruption. Your day-to-day involves coordinating with vendors, interpreting technical schematics, and collaborating closely with the Front Desk and Housekeeping departments to prioritize tasks effectively. Key Responsibilities

Requirements
