About the Role

We are seeking an ambitious Substance Use Prevention Educator to join our team in Lee County, Florida. In this vital role, you will develop and implement effective prevention programs through education, community outreach, and collaboration with local partners. You will serve as a key advocate for the Foundation, delivering approved substance use prevention curricula to middle and high schools while fostering healthy decision-making among adolescents.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within an industry-leading organization where your daily efforts directly impact the well-being of students and families. The role requires frequent travel to schools, staff meetings, and community events throughout Lee County and neighboring areas. A reliable personal vehicle and valid driver's license are essential for success in this position.

Hiring Process

Candidates must reside in Lee County, Florida, to be considered for this position. Applicants who receive a conditional offer of employment are required to undergo a drug screening. If you are in recovery, a minimum of one year of continuous sobriety is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • check_circleCollaborate with teachers to deliver approved substance use prevention curricula in schools
  • check_circleRecruit and secure school and community implementation locations for prevention programs
  • check_circleMarket and promote prevention programs to schools and community partners
  • check_circleAssist Prevention Coordinators on special projects and maintain knowledge of prevention trends
  • check_circleComplete monitoring reports and documentation as required by grant specifications
  • check_circleFacilitate group and individual classroom sessions and assemblies on substance use prevention
  • check_circleProvide education on alcohol and drug risks to parents, faculty, and agency staff
  • check_circleEnter daily data into Salesforce/CPG systems and submit within required timeframes

Requirements

  • verifiedBachelor's degree in human services, education, or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and related experience
