You will act as a bridge between families and the resources they need, assisting clients in arranging child care placements of their choice and educating families on addressing child care issues. Your work ensures that families receive the consumer information and community resources necessary to thrive, including guidance on tax information, housing, and other support systems.
As part of the Division of Child Development at CCRI, this role is central to the agency's mission of supporting children and families. Success in this position requires advocating for families while maintaining strict compliance with CCRI policies and state regulations. You will be expected to interpret policies uniformly and fairly, ensuring that every family is treated with dignity and respect regardless of their background or lifestyle.
This role operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring a minimum of three days per week of onsite presence at CCRI. Consistent adherence to this schedule is essential to facilitate efficient execution of job duties and effective team collaboration. The position also involves using personal transportation to make periodic contacts and visits to child care centers, family child care homes, and unregulated providers.
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to read paystubs and calculate income accurately, as errors in documentation can lead to significant audit exceptions and loss of revenue. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field. While no prior experience is required, applicants must possess strong computer skills and the ability to work effectively under the pressure of deadlines.
