Founded in 1933 at the call of Albert Einstein, the International Rescue Committee (IRC) is one of the world's largest international humanitarian non-governmental organizations. We respond to the world's worst humanitarian crises, helping people to survive, reclaim control of their future, and strengthen their communities. At work in more than 40 countries and 29 U.S. cities, the IRC is a force for humanity, delivering lasting impact by restoring safety, dignity, and hope to millions.
If you are a solutions-driven, passionate change-maker, we invite you to join us in positively impacting the lives of millions of people worldwide for a better future.
As the Subgrant Business Systems & Procurement Operations Manager, you will serve as a critical partner to the Statewide Family Support Coordinator (SFSC) initiative. Your mission is to ensure the compliant, efficient, and transparent distribution of funds through subgrantees, directly supporting the operational integrity of approximately $5,000,000 in goods across 11 regional hubs and over 20 subgrantees.
In this role, you will operationalize procurement compliance by designing and implementing standardized tools, guidance, and monitoring systems. You will work in close partnership with Finance, MEAL, and Program teams to build subgrantee capacity, ensuring alignment with California Welfare and Institutions Code 134001 and organizational policies. Your day-to-day involves translating complex regulatory requirements into practical processes, conducting risk assessments, and providing technical coaching to partners. This is a strategic role that balances rigorous oversight with collaborative capacity building to ensure every dollar and good reaches those in need safely and effectively.
All IRC workers must adhere to our core values: Integrity, Service, Equality, and Accountability. We operate and enforce policies on Safeguarding, Conflicts of Interest, Fiscal Integrity, and Reporting Wrongdoing. We are committed to creating an environment where people feel safe, promoting critical reflection, power sharing, and objectivity to deliver the best possible services to our clients.
The IRC is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We consider all applicants on the basis of merit without regard to race, sex, color, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, disability, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
