This position serves as a key partner in the City's fiscal operations, performing professional accounting and auditing work under general direction. The incumbent plays a vital role in the preparation of annual city financial statements and state reports, analyzing revenues, expenditures, and balance sheet accounts to ensure accurate consolidation into budget and financial reports. The role involves maintaining complex general and revenue ledgers, reviewing requisitions and payables in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, and assisting in audits and financial reporting. The successful candidate will represent the City professionally, establishing effective relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and the public while navigating a dynamic office environment responsive to changing goals and priorities.
