The College of Osteopathic Medicine (COM) operates within the Academic Affairs Office, dedicated to the smooth delivery of curriculum, research activities, and institutional service. The Student and Faculty Support Specialist serves as a vital operational hub for the College of Osteopathic Medicine. This position ensures efficient day-to-day coordination of academic and faculty needs, acting as the primary point of contact for administrative inquiries. The role bridges the gap between faculty, students, and administrative departments, ensuring that curriculum workflows, student interactions, and compliance records are managed with precision.
In this capacity, you will manage the logistics of the academic environment, from implementing curriculum into workflow systems and maintaining Learning Management System (LMS) shells to coordinating faculty travel and meeting schedules. You will also serve as the front-facing representative for the office, welcoming students and guests, addressing their concerns, and connecting them with the appropriate campus resources. A key aspect of the role involves supervising student employees, fostering an office culture that encourages knowledge and respect for diverse cultures and backgrounds.
