About the Role
We are seeking a Structural/Building Inspection Engineer to join our growing team. This role is designed for professionals who thrive on variety and challenge, applying their engineering knowledge to a diverse portfolio of projects while developing new skills. The position is primarily home-based but requires regular travel to client properties throughout the Minneapolis–St. Paul metro area and occasionally to other parts of the upper Midwest.
In this position, you will perform inspections of existing residential and commercial buildings, prepare detailed written reports, and occasionally engage in light structural design involving wood, steel, and concrete. Success in this role relies heavily on your ability to build long-term client relationships, communicate effectively with both clients and colleagues, and ensure all projects meet Criterium's high quality standards. We offer flexible full-time or part-time (2 to 4 days per week) schedules, with semi-retired professionals specifically encouraged to apply for part-time options.
