As a Strategic Negotiator, you combine deep market knowledge of a given sector with tech industry savvy to negotiate cost-effective solutions that support Google's infrastructure growth. You will have a key role in helping to drive location strategy, site selection, and portfolio management for new and existing data center sites and related infrastructure. Primarily, you will support the development of the company's global economic development program for data centers.
In this position, you will negotiate directly and work closely with energy and location strategy strategic negotiators to advise on economic development agreements. You will help establish standard operating policies and procedures to drive the pursuit of sustainable agreements. Your knowledge of existing economic development programs, state and local tax and regulatory environments, and company goals will position you to influence key decisions. Your successful negotiations have the potential to save Google millions of dollars in operating costs and impact every part of the business.

Experience in real estate development, evaluation, acquisition, construction, and site selection for industrial-scale projects. Experience with tax policy analysis, including the evaluation of economic development incentives and fiscal impact modeling. Experience with economic development impact studies or economic development marketing, government affairs and public policy. Experience or familiarity with a range of economic development issues such as indirect taxes, economic development policy, incentive structuring, and direct revenue modeling. Ability to travel up to 25% of the time as needed.
