Our Strategic Account Manager serves as the strategic "anchor" within a dedicated account pod, driving revenue growth by ensuring U.S. Public Sector customers achieve their most critical objectives. This role bridges the gap between technical software adoption, data utilization, and long-term account expansion. You will provide confident, consultative guidance to demonstrate how Chainalysis data and software solutions help agencies achieve their missions while identifying new opportunities for program growth.
The ideal candidate possesses deep fluency within the Department of Homeland Security (including HSI, CBP, and Secret Service) and the Department of Defense. You will act as the voice of the customer, translating complex data conversations into actionable outcomes that protect the homeland and support defense objectives. By aligning software capabilities with critical national security missions, you will help tactical personnel leverage forensic intelligence to counter threat networks.
In this position, you will partner with Account Executives to co-lead growth strategies for key accounts, ensuring Chainalysis products align with the customer's mission. Your day involves identifying mission gaps—such as tracking illicit crypto flows or tax non-compliance—to build business cases for new use cases and services. You will proactively uncover unsolved customer challenges and remove internal or external roadblocks to ensure consistency and predictability in results.
You will manage the implementation and usage of Chainalysis offerings, ensuring alignment with customer expectations, resourcing needs, and timelines. This includes coordinating customer enablement sessions and working in tandem with services professionals to understand specific needs and gaps. Additionally, you will lead the end-to-end renewal process, identifying churn risks 180+ days out and executing mitigation plans to protect Net Revenue Retention (NRR). As a key advocate, you will translate customer observations into actionable product enhancements for the Product and Engineering teams.
