This position is designed to support Medline's sales efforts within a select group of highly complex, regional, national, or strategic accounts. The primary mission is to drive new revenue targets and service goals while managing a dedicated book of business for existing accounts. You will play a key role in the operational execution of sales strategies, ensuring the maintenance of existing sales volume while actively developing new growth opportunities.
In this role, you will serve as a key contributor to growing market share by aligning sales plans and objectives with broad corporate marketing goals. Success requires providing exceptional customer support to retain business and drive profitability. You will maintain personal contact with key customers, resolve problems to ensure high-quality service, and collaborate directly with the Medline Field Sales team to launch new accounts or execute "save" strategies for accounts under threat.
The day-to-day involves facilitating RFP processes, developing sales tools, and managing account program costs such as advertising, rebates, and slotting allowances. You will track customer sales performance against objectives, build specialized reports on contracts and focus areas, and communicate activity and success to appropriate partners. This role operates within an office setting and medical facilities, requiring travel and potentially non-traditional work hours during in-services.
