About the Role

Reporting to the Sr. Regional Sales Manager from our Downers Grove, IL office, this hybrid position drives sales activities for some of Hirose's most high-profile accounts across Illinois and Wisconsin. The role is designed to build pipeline, increase sales, and implement strategic corporate directives while fostering the growth of a junior account manager within the region.

As a key interface between Hirose and its customers, you will act as the foremost expert on your accounts and their industries. You will guide Engineering, Product Management, and Marketing to meet future customer needs, positioning Hirose as a key supplier for current and future business opportunities. This role requires establishing executive relationships, creating global strategies for international accounts, and collaborating closely with customer support roles to optimize service delivery.

A core aspect of this position is leadership. You will manage, educate, and develop a junior Account Manager, instilling best sales strategies and professional practices. You will also build close relationships with Hirose Japan personnel, assisting with periodic customer visits by Japanese engineers and contributing to a collaborative team environment that embodies Hirose's philosophy of "connecting wisdom."

Hiring Process

Candidates are expected to demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively across different cultures. The role requires a candidate who is self-motivated, possesses a positive attitude, and is willing to travel up to 50% of the time to navigate the assigned territory, attend tradeshows, and visit customer sites.
