About the Role
This position is dedicated to creating an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. The primary mission is to establish and maintain a safe, clean environment that encourages customers to return, while directly supervising all functions and activities within the department. You will support the day-to-day operations of the Grocery department, embracing the "Customer 1st" strategy and empowering associates to deliver excellent service.

You will foster a culture of trust and teamwork, collaborating with associates to achieve store goals while managing complex operational tasks ranging from inventory control to financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleDirect and supervise all department functions and daily grocery operations
- check_circleDevelop adequate scheduling to manage customer volume throughout hours of operation
- check_circleEstablish performance goals and empower associates to meet or exceed targets
- check_circleDevelop and implement a department business plan to achieve desired results
- check_circleCreate and execute sales promotions in partnership with store management
- check_circleMonitor and control department expenses and assist in preparing budget and P&L reviews
- check_circlePlan, organize and supervise the inventory process and maintain stocking conditions
- check_circleSchedule daily, weekly and monthly price changes by updating shelf tags and promotional signs
- check_circleAdhere to all food safety regulations and ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers
- check_circleTrain and develop associates on job performance and participate in appraisal processes
- check_circleReinforce safety programs by complying with procedures and identifying unsafe conditions
- check_circleTrain department associates on inventory, stocking, and Computer Assisted Ordering
