About the Role
We are seeking an independent, task-oriented individual to join our security team in Rochester, NY. In this role, you will be instrumental in creating a positive shopping and working environment by prioritizing safety and analyzing trends to maximize sales while minimizing loss. Your day will involve monitoring store activity, coordinating CCTV systems, and responding to emergency situations with sound judgment and composure. You will also build strong relationships with community partners, emergency responders, and store leadership to ensure a secure and welcoming atmosphere for everyone.

Key Responsibilities

- check_circleMonitor activity to prevent loss, including apprehending and processing shoplifters
- check_circleFoster collaborative relationships with community partners and emergency responders
- check_circleCoordinate and manage the use of all Closed-Circuit TV (CCTV) systems
- check_circleRespond to emergency situations while providing ongoing support to employees and customers
- check_circleConduct investigations as directed by leadership
- check_circleAnalyze trends and data to implement strategies that maximize sales and minimize theft
Requirements
- verified1+ years full-time experience as a sworn police officer with arrest authority
- verifiedPossession of current HR218/LEOSA credentials
- verifiedValid license to carry a firearm
- verifiedValid driver's license
- verifiedStrong technical aptitude including proficiency with Microsoft Office
Nice to Have
Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or related field. Related experience in security and/or loss prevention. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) or First Responder background. Leadership experience, preferably in a retail setting.
