About the Role
As the leader of the health care team, this Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established standards of care, policies, and procedures. The role is designed to demonstrate performance consistent with the Medical Center's Vision, Mission, and Strategic Plan.
In this position, you will remain flexible to changing systems while demonstrating quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice. A core expectation is treating co-workers, patients, families, and all members of the health care team with dignity and respect. You will serve as a leader who delegates tasks appropriately, mentors new employees and students, and champions new ideas to drive the change process.
Your day-to-day impact involves developing individualized plans of care that reflect multidisciplinary planning, cultural specific needs, and appropriate acuity. You will ensure patient safety through rigorous adherence to protocols regarding medications, fall prevention, and infection control, while also managing optimal pain control and patient comfort. By actively listening to the needs of patients and families, you will provide a patient care experience that exceeds expectations and ensures clear understanding of treatment and discharge instructions.
