You will join the Burn Treatment Center and Intermediate Care Unit (8 JCP), a 17-bed facility designated as a Level I Burn Center by the American College of Surgeons since 1996. This unit is equipped with a state-of-the-art hydrotherapy room for burn and wound dressing care, a pediatric playroom, and a rehabilitation gym. The team cares for both adult and pediatric burn patients, as well as an adult trauma population requiring intermediate monitoring. The unit operates both inpatient and outpatient (Burn Clinic) facilities.
Beyond direct patient care, the staff provides burn outreach and education and annually hosts a Burn Camp for burn patient survivors. As a staff nurse, you will apply nursing theory to assess, diagnose, treat, and evaluate patient responses to health and illness. You will collaborate with patients, families, and an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans, ensuring a safe environment for all while coordinating the continuum of care across settings.
