As a Staff Accountant, you will serve as an essential supporting function within our accounting team. This role is designed for candidates with a sound technical background in accounting or finance who possess strong communication and analytical skills. You will work independently to review reports, analyze invoices, and verify claims against source documents.
In this position, you will participate in strategic planning sessions and collaborate closely with senior staff on complex litigation cases, first-party property claims, and business valuations. A significant part of your day will involve conducting forensic research to trace funds and identify assets for recovery, as well as assisting clients during financial investigations to accurately identify all involved parties. You will also be responsible for preparing accounting reports based on financial findings while ensuring strict compliance with state and federal laws.
MDD seeks candidates who are actively pursuing a CPA designation and can thrive in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks, maintain a professional demeanor, and possess a positive mindset. While the role is based in the US, candidates must be willing to travel internationally and potentially for extended periods. A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.
