The Director, Claims Recovery (Building) will serve as a primary contact for clients throughout engagement delivery, developing and maintaining strong relationships while overseeing project work and deliverables. You will interact with clients, third-party property experts, insurance adjusters, and risk managers to evaluate the scope and cost of work involved in large commercial complex losses.
This role is designed for a technically capable individual who will collect and interpret relevant data to produce accurate repair and replacement estimates. You will lead the engagement team responsible for gathering and analyzing financial data, performing site visits, and conducting condition assessments for damages resulting from wind, water, fire, earth, and other events. Beyond technical execution, you will drive growth by recruiting staff, participating in business development, and building rapport with existing clients to generate new work.
Candidates with strong experience in the construction industry, estimators with reconstruction project experience, or roofing specialists are encouraged to apply. The selection process involves reviewing qualifications against the required 8-10 years of experience in building estimating and the restoration, insurance, and remediation fields.

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, or Accounting. Experience in financial accounting, insurance, or advisory services. Accounting or finance designation (e.g., CPA, CFF, CFA). IICRC certification. Extensive experience with Xactimate, RS Means, Microsoft Excel and Word, on-screen takeoff software, and other construction estimating software.
