The Technology Training and Adoption team is an Epic-certified group dedicated to ensuring every Children's National staff member is well-prepared and proficient in using the new Epic electronic health record and related applications. Reporting to the Manager of Technology Training and Adoption, this team operates at the intersection of clinical, operational, revenue cycle, and information services stakeholders. Our mission is to implement a continuous learning model that advances user adoption and system mastery, empowering staff to leverage technology with competence and confidence.
As a Senior Technology Trainer, you will be a pivotal partner in designing and delivering our enterprise technology training program. This role exists to bridge the gap between complex health information technology and the daily workflows of our clinical and operational teams. Your expertise in healthcare workflows, instructional design, and IT will directly impact patient safety, care delivery, and the overall experience for patients, families, and colleagues.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align training efforts with organizational goals, ensuring materials are current, role-specific, and aligned with our standards. Your day-to-day involves designing curricula, supporting go-live readiness, and spending time in clinical areas to observe system use, identify gaps, and provide coaching. By promoting new features and addressing user concerns, you will drive change management and ensure users are prepared during system transitions.
Join us in making a lasting impact as we help our patients "Grow Up Stronger." We are committed to improving business processes and care delivery through technology, ensuring that every interaction with our systems contributes to a safer, more efficient healthcare environment.
Candidates selected for this role will be required to obtain and maintain the appropriate Epic certification for their assigned area of responsibility within 6 weeks of completing training.
