Mercy is seeking a Director, Health Information Management to lead our Health Information Management and Privacy functions within the IT & Data Management department. This role oversees health information governance, privacy compliance (including HIPAA), data integrity, and records management across Mercy's Midwest facilities.
The Director will collaborate with clinical, operational, and technology leaders to optimize EMR use, support analytics, and safeguard patient data. You will serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor to executive and operational leaders, championing Mercy's mission and values by modeling ethical handling of patient information and promoting a culture of confidentiality and respect.

Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certification. Certified in Healthcare Privacy and Security (CHPS) certification. Experience with major EHR platforms (e.g., Epic, Cerner). Demonstrated knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, and related federal and state privacy regulations.
