About the Role
This position is a hybrid leadership and hands-on engineering role designed to bridge the gap between strategic vision and technical execution. You will serve as the technical anchor for a geographically distributed team of software engineers, guiding them through the full software development lifecycle while actively contributing to architecture and design decisions.
In this role, you will not only manage personnel actions and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement but also remain deeply engaged in the code. You will drive recruiting efforts to attract top talent, mentor developers on career growth, and ensure the team adheres to rigorous engineering standards, security practices, and healthcare compliance requirements like HIPAA. Your day-to-day involves balancing delivery risks, optimizing development processes for predictability and velocity, and collaborating closely with QA, DevOps, and security teams to eliminate technical debt while meeting enterprise governance goals.

Compensation & Benefits
Maximus offers a comprehensive total compensation package that extends beyond base salary. While the annual salary range for this position is $140,000.00 to $180,000.00, actual compensation is determined by factors including job location, education, experience, and internal value analysis. The package includes short- and long-term incentives, program-specific awards, health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, and paid time off. Maximus complies with all regulatory minimum wage rates and does not use an applicant's salary history in determining compensation.
