This position serves as a critical architectural leader within the Human Services sector, focusing on the complex landscape of Medicaid data ecosystems. The role exists to bridge the gap between intricate healthcare regulations and scalable technical solutions, ensuring that data supporting claims, encounters, eligibility, and care management is robust, secure, and compliant.
You will be the steward of enterprise-scale data architectures, guiding the modernization of legacy systems into cloud-native environments. Your day-to-day involves translating high-level Medicaid requirements from business and compliance teams into actionable technical strategies. This includes defining data governance frameworks, establishing canonical data models, and ensuring that all data ingestion and integration patterns align with strict HIPAA, HITECH, and CMS standards.
Beyond technical design, this role is deeply collaborative. You will partner with data engineers, analytics teams, and external vendors to build resilient ETL/ELT pipelines and real-time processing capabilities. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to mentoring less experienced personnel, conducting peer reviews, and communicating complex architectural trade-offs to stakeholders to drive efficiency and cost reduction.
Candidates selected for this role will engage in a structured interview process designed to assess both technical depth and cultural fit. The process typically includes an initial screening to verify experience with Medicaid data domains, followed by a technical deep-dive into data modeling and cloud architecture. Final stages involve a system design discussion and a team fit interview to ensure alignment with our collaborative culture.
