GE Aerospace is a global leader in aerospace systems, delivering innovative solutions that power flight. Our platform group is dedicated to maintaining the critical infrastructure that drives our operations, ensuring high availability and optimal performance for our enterprise systems. We foster a culture of professional development, challenging careers, and collaborative problem-solving, where technical excellence meets business impact.
This combined leadership role serves as the strategic anchor for the Kittyhawk ERP instance and its associated bolt-on applications. You will define the vision for our database and platform ecosystems, aligning technology initiatives with broader business goals and enterprise architecture standards. The position exists to ensure a compliant cyber posture, high system availability, and low incident rates through sophisticated automation, integrated monitoring, and metric analytics.
In this capacity, you will lead, coach, and develop database teams to drive performance and accountability. Your day-to-day involves overseeing the planning and delivery of Oracle and ERP initiatives, ensuring on-time, on-budget execution with strong quality and security outcomes. You will partner with vendors, senior leaders, and the Whittle DBA leader to synchronize solutions and manage the lifecycle of database hardware, software, and services.
Beyond architecture, you will lead application support leadership for Kittyhawk, coordinating the resolution of P1 incidents, patching activities, and production releases. You will manage the escalation process, monitor team KPIs, and ensure compliance with critical activities such as CMMC and SOX. This role requires a blend of technical depth in Oracle R12 and the leadership skills necessary to guide teams through complex technical upgrades and major solutions.
Candidates for this role should be prepared for a process that evaluates both technical proficiency and leadership capabilities. The interview path typically includes an initial screening to verify eligibility and experience, followed by a technical deep-dive into Oracle architecture and ERP support scenarios. Subsequent rounds will assess system design, problem-solving approaches, and team fit. Successful candidates will also undergo a standard background check and drug screening.
