About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, self-starter, and goal-oriented Sr. Safety Manager to join our Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Department in our Charlotte, NC region. Reporting directly to the EHS Executive and Regional Leaders, this role is pivotal in supporting Messer projects and personnel through safety inspections, project planning, employee training, and comprehensive safety services.

In this position, you will champion a Zero Injury Culture and serve as a bridge between project teams, craft workers, regional leadership, and corporate safety peers. Your day-to-day involves maintaining a consistent presence on job sites to conduct pre-construction safety meetings, contractor orientations, and weekly site inspections. You will collaborate closely with Project Management teams to develop job site safety plans, review contractor pre-qualifications, and ensure all activities align with Messer policies and regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will drive regional safety performance by developing action plans, analyzing safety data, and providing guidance on emergency response systems and policies.
