We are seeking an experienced, self-starter Safety Manager for our Raleigh Region. As a key member of the Messer Environmental, Health and Safety Department, you will support projects and personnel through safety inspections, project planning, employee training, and comprehensive health services. Reporting directly to the EHS Executive and Regional Leaders, this role requires a high level of organization and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences across all levels of the organization.
Your day will involve championing a Zero Injury Culture and understanding project schedules to drive risk planning. You will develop action plans for regional safety performance while maintaining a consistent presence on job sites to address questions and issues in real time. Collaborating closely with Project Management teams, you will lead pre-construction safety meetings, contractor orientations, and weekly site inspections. Additionally, you will review contractor pre-qualifications and site-specific safety plans to ensure compliance with Messer and regulatory standards, while assisting in the development and revision of safety policies and emergency response procedures.
