About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, self-starter Safety Manager for our Columbus, OH region. As a key member of the Messer Environmental, Health and Safety Department, you will report directly to the EHS Executive and Regional Leaders. This role is designed to support Messer projects and personnel by championing a Zero Injury Culture and ensuring the highest standards of safety and health.
In this position, you will serve as a vital link between project teams, regional leadership, and corporate safety professionals. Your day-to-day involves maintaining a consistent presence on job sites to conduct safety inspections, lead pre-construction meetings, and manage accident investigations. You will develop action plans for regional safety performance, review contractor pre-qualifications, and ensure that emergency response systems are robust and compliant. Beyond technical oversight, you will be responsible for developing and implementing safety training programs and providing data analysis to guide corporate objectives and operational profitability.
