At Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems, we tackle the world's most demanding challenges within the Sensors, Effectors & Mission Systems (SEMS) organization. Our Radar Systems Engineering team brings together the brightest minds across our Moorestown, NJ, and Syracuse, NY sites to invent solutions where they don't yet exist. We collaborate with top-tier Radar engineers to deliver quality designs and cutting-edge capabilities to a broad array of customers, including the Missile Defense Agency, US Navy, Air Force, Army, Space Force, and international partners in Japan, Canada, Spain, Norway, Australia, and the UK.
Our team is built on diversity in background and experience, united by a passion for driving technology forward. We foster a collaborative environment where hard work is viewed as the fun part, and lifelong learning is the norm.
As a Sensor Systems Architect, you will join a team dedicated to the architecture, design, and implementation of high-performance Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar systems. This role exists to bridge the gap between complex mission requirements and executable technical solutions.
You will drive radar capability implementation by performing concept of operations design, defining radar behavior, and developing associated requirements. Your work will involve conducting trade studies to analyze system-level performance impacts, ensuring design decisions meet mission success criteria. You will serve as a key representative for the organization, interfacing with internal and external customers, program leadership, and multi-disciplinary teams on significant technical matters. This is a position for those who enjoy thinking outside the box and applying their expertise to stay ahead of ever-evolving customer needs across diverse environments and threat spaces.
This position requires a government security clearance; candidates must be US Citizens to be considered. For more information on the technologies we support, including the Golden Dome Missile Defense system, please visit our capabilities page.
