At Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems, we tackle the world's most demanding challenges within the Sensors, Effectors & Mission Systems (SEMS) organization. We collaborate with top-tier Radar engineers across our Moorestown, NJ, and Syracuse, NY sites to invent solutions for problems that previously seemed impossible. Our team of Radar Systems Engineers and Sensor Architects comes from diverse backgrounds, united by a mission to deliver quality designs and cutting-edge capabilities to customers like the Missile Defense Agency, US Navy, Air Force, Army, Space Force, and international partners including Japan, Canada, Spain, Norway, Australia, and the UK.
As a Sensor Systems Architect, you will join the Sensor Architectures team to support the architecture, design, and implementation of high-performance Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar systems. This role exists to drive radar capability implementation by defining concepts of operations, establishing radar behavior, and developing the associated requirements that guide subsystems. You will act as a bridge between technical execution and mission success, collaborating with subsystem teams to define clear, executable, and testable approaches. Your work will involve conducting trade studies to analyze system-level performance impacts, developing detailed design documentation, and representing the organization on contracts while interfacing with senior leadership and multi-disciplinary teams.
If you are looking for the challenge of a lifetime on a team of the brightest minds, this is the place for you. We seek individuals who enjoy thinking outside the box, thrive in collaborative environments with motivated engineers, and are lifelong learners passionate about driving technology forward.
