About the Team

At Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems, we take on the most demanding challenges in the world. Within the Sensors, Effectors & Mission Systems (SEMS) organization, we seek out innovative ideas and creative solutions to seemingly impossible problems facing our customers. We collaborate with the best Radar engineers in the business across our Moorestown, NJ, and Syracuse, NY sites to invent solutions where they don't exist yet.

Our team of Radar Systems Engineers and Sensor Architects comes from diverse backgrounds and experience levels, all working together to deliver quality designs and cutting-edge capabilities. We support a broad array of Radar products and customers, including the Missile Defense Agency, US Navy, Air Force, US Army, Space Force, and foreign partners such as Japan, Canada, Spain, Norway, Australia, and the UK.

About the Role

The Radar Systems Engineering team is seeking a candidate to support the architecture, design, Concept of Operations, requirements development, analysis, and implementation of high-performance Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar systems. As a Sensor Systems Architect, you will drive radar capability implementation across subsystems by defining radar behavior and associated requirements. You will collaborate with subsystem teams to define clear, executable, and testable approaches for meeting mission success criteria, while conducting trade studies to analyze system-level performance impacts.

This role is ideal for those looking for the challenge of a lifetime on a team of the brightest minds. If you are a lifelong learner with a passion for driving technology forward and enjoy a technical challenge that requires thinking outside the box, this is the place for you. You will apply your expertise to advance sensor architectures, staying ahead of ever-evolving customer needs across a broad array of environments and threat spaces.

Why Join Us

At Lockheed Martin, we value your unique skills and expertise. We aim to give back continuously by offering a wide variety of benefits and amenities to help our employees live flexible, healthy, and fulfilling lives. Our culture promotes work-life balance through flexible scheduling options, including a Flex 4/10 schedule (every Friday off), a Flex 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off), or a 5/8 schedule. We also provide a competitive 401(k) match, bonuses, and comprehensive medical, dental, and life insurance.

Hiring Process & Requirements

This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Candidates will be evaluated on their ability to collaborate in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment and their passion for advancing technology.
