At Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems, we tackle the world's most demanding challenges within the Sensors, Effectors & Mission Systems (SEMS) organization. Our Radar Systems Engineering team brings together the brightest minds across our Moorestown, NJ, and Syracuse, NY sites to invent solutions where they don't yet exist. We collaborate with the best radar engineers in the business to deliver quality designs and cutting-edge capabilities to a broad array of customers, including the Missile Defense Agency, US Navy, Air Force, Army, Space Force, and international partners in Japan, Canada, Spain, Norway, Australia, and the UK.

About the Role

As a Sensor Systems Architect, you will join a team of diverse engineers and architects dedicated to advancing sensor architectures. This role exists to drive the architecture, design, and implementation of high-performance Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar systems. You will serve as a bridge between concept and reality, performing concept of operations design, defining radar behavior, and developing requirements to drive capability implementation across subsystems. Your work will involve conducting trade studies to analyze system-level performance impacts and presenting detailed design documentation to internal and external customers, program leadership, and multi-disciplinary teams. It is a position for those who enjoy technical challenges that require thinking outside the box and a passion for driving technology forward in ever-evolving threat spaces.
