At Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems, we tackle the world's most demanding challenges within the Sensors, Effectors & Mission Systems (SEMS) organization. Our Radar Systems Engineering team brings together the brightest minds across our Moorestown, NJ, and Syracuse, NY sites to invent solutions where none previously existed. We collaborate with top-tier Radar engineers to deliver cutting-edge capabilities to a diverse array of customers, including the Missile Defense Agency, US Navy, Air Force, Army, Space Force, and international partners such as Japan, Canada, Spain, Norway, Australia, and the UK.
Our team is built on a foundation of diversity, with engineers and architects from varied backgrounds and experience levels working in unison to drive technology forward. We foster a culture where lifelong learning is the norm, and where hard work is viewed as the fun part of the mission.
As a Sensor Systems Architect, you will join a team dedicated to the architecture, design, and implementation of high-performance Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar systems. This role exists to bridge the gap between complex mission requirements and executable technical solutions. You will define the concept of operations, establish radar behavior, and develop the requirements that drive capability implementation across radar subsystems.
In this dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment, you will conduct trade studies to analyze system-level performance impacts, ensuring design decisions meet mission success criteria. You will collaborate closely with subsystem teams to create clear, testable approaches and represent the organization on significant technical matters to internal and external customers, program leadership, and senior stakeholders. If you are an expert looking to apply your skills to advancing sensor architectures against ever-evolving threat spaces, this is the place for you.
Lockheed Martin values your unique skills and expertise, aiming to support a flexible, healthy, and fulfilling life both inside and outside of work. We offer a competitive benefits package that includes a 401(k) match, bonuses, and comprehensive medical, dental, and life insurance. We are committed to work-life balance, offering flexible scheduling options such as a 4/10 schedule (every Friday off), a 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off), or a 5/8 schedule.
Lockheed Martin is an equal opportunity employer. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background. This position requires a government security clearance; candidates must be U.S. Citizens with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret level clearance.
