About the Team

At Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems, we take on the most demanding challenges in the world. Within the Sensors, Effectors & Mission Systems (SEMS) organization, we seek out innovative ideas and creative solutions to seemingly impossible problems facing our customers. We collaborate with the best Radar engineers in the business across our Moorestown, NJ and Syracuse, NY sites to invent solutions where they don't exist yet.

Our team of Radar Systems Engineers and Sensor Architects comes from diverse backgrounds and experience levels, all working together to deliver quality designs and cutting-edge capabilities. We support a broad array of Radar products and customers, including the Missile Defense Agency, US Navy, Air Force, US Army, Space Force, and foreign partners such as Japan, Canada, Spain, Norway, Australia, and the UK.

About the Role

The Radar Systems Engineering team is seeking a candidate to support the architecture, design, Concept of Operations, requirements development, analysis, and implementation of high-performance Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar systems. As a Sensor Systems Architect, you will drive radar capability implementation across subsystems by defining radar behavior and associated requirements. You will collaborate with subsystem teams to define clear, executable, and testable approaches for meeting mission success criteria, while conducting trade studies to analyze system-level performance impacts.

This role is designed for those who enjoy a technical challenge that requires thinking outside the box. If you are looking for the challenge of a lifetime on a team of the brightest minds, a career where hard work is the fun part, and a collaborative environment with motivated engineers, this is the place for you. You will apply your expertise to advance sensor architectures, staying ahead of ever-evolving customer needs across a broad array of environments and threat spaces.

Why Join Us

At Lockheed Martin, we value your unique skills and expertise, aiming to give back continuously by offering a wide variety of benefits to help employees live flexible, healthy, and fulfilling lives. We offer a competitive 401k match and bonus, comprehensive medical, dental, and life insurance, and flexible scheduling options including a Flex 4/10 (every Friday off), Flex 9/80 (every other Friday off), or a 5/8 schedule.

Hiring Process & Requirements

This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Candidates will be evaluated on their ability to apply strong analytical and communication skills in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment.
